PEOPLE VS GOVERNMENT

The relationship between Nigerians and corrupt government officials is often one of distrust and frustration. Nigerians have long been plagued by corruption, which has eroded public trust in government institutions and hindered the country's development. Corruption has also led to increased poverty and inequality, as funds that could be used to improve the lives of ordinary citizens are instead siphoned off by corrupt officials.

In recent years, there has been a growing movement of Nigerians who are fighting back against corruption. This movement has been fueled by social media, which has given Nigerians a platform to expose corruption and demand accountability from their leaders. There have also been a number of high-profile corruption cases in recent years, which have further galvanized public opinion against corruption.

The Nigerian government has taken some steps to address corruption, but these efforts have been largely ineffective. Corruption is deeply entrenched in Nigerian society, and it will take a concerted effort from all Nigerians to root it out.

Here are some of the ways in which Nigerians are fighting against corruption:

* **Protesting and demonstrating:** Nigerians have taken to the streets to protest against corruption. These protests have helped to raise awareness of the issue and put pressure on the government to take action.
* **Using social media:** Social media has been a powerful tool for Nigerians in the fight against corruption. Nigerians have used social media to expose corruption, share information, and organize protests.
* **Supporting anti-corruption organizations:** There are a number of anti-corruption organizations in Nigeria that are working to raise awareness of the issue and advocate for reform. Nigerians can support these organizations by donating money or volunteering their time.
* **Holding corrupt officials accountable:** Nigerians can hold corrupt officials accountable by reporting them to the authorities and refusing to pay bribes.

The fight against corruption in Nigeria is a long and difficult one, but Nigerians are determined to succeed. By working together, Nigerians can create a more just and equitable society for all.

Note: we are not in anyway calling for or asking anyone to indulge in any form of violence against any Politician. This article is but a reflection of our reality and that we should start fighting corruption from ourselves.

NIGERIA: AFTER THE OIL

Moving Nigeria beyond oil: Is there really a political will? Diversifying Nigeria's economy beyond its reliance on crude oil is crucial for sustainable growth, job creation, and poverty reduction. Promoting value-added processing of agricultural products can further enhance the sector's contribution to the economy. 2. Develop manufacturing: The manufacturing sector plays a vital role in creating employment and generating value-added products. Encouraging local manufacturing, particularly in labor-intensive industries like textiles, footwear, and furniture, can boost employment and reduce reliance on imports. 3. Harness the service sector: The service sector, incl...

In the King's Court

In the King's Court A man came to the king's court seeking a job. He was asked about his qualifications. He replied, "I can tell you about anyone, human or animal, just by looking at their face." The king was impressed and made him the in-charge of his special horse stable. After a few days, the king asked him about his favorite horse. He replied, "The horse is not of good breed." The king was surprised and asked the horse's caretaker, who revealed that the horse's mother had died at birth, and it was raised by a cow. The king asked the man how he knew the horse wasn't of good breed. He replied, "When the horse eats grass, it bends down like a cow, whereas a good breed horse picks up the grass and eats with its head held high." The king was pleased with his observation skills and rewarded him with grains, ghee, chickens, and goats. He was then appointed to the queen's palace. After some time, the king asked him about the...
